Is it normal she stares at me through the window

We have moved into this new house a week ago and we usually go to sleep late at night after a movie.

Since few days there is a young girl who stares at me through the window of my room and whenever I try to approach her she runs away.
The first time I shouted at her thinking she is a thief but nothing is missing.

We have contacted the police but there is no sign of anyone trespassing our lawn either.
She looks like she is 14 or 15 something.
She don't look homeless because she wears good clothes and her hairs are well kept.

Yesterday I kept looking back at her for a long time without moving from my bed and she kept looking at me but when I moved she ran away before I could open the window.

Police said no missing girl is reported in our area.

    Hide a bear trap in the ground beneath your window. That way you'll know for sure she can't run away and you can get to the bottom of this.

      I'll recommend something less painful, net? Trail camera? The latter will let you figure out her route.

    Whoa that sounds creepy. maybe you should set up booby traps around your window areas.
