Is it normal shrinks aren't always realistic

People hate me, in general. When I tell my shrink she say's I'm just imagining it. Would she say the same thing to Justin Bieber?

Don't underestimate how much effort it takes to truly 'hate' someone. The only person in your life willing to make that sort of emotional investment is you. When you stop hating yourself you'll realize that folks are just indifferent about you.

That's actually a really well thought out reply riffraffy. Concise, informative, accurate. Well done.

I agree. But, she does know you a little bit. So, if you were obviously a just awful, wretched person, she might not be so dismissive about your opinion. She'd think "well s/he's probably right, people probably do hate her/him, so what should I say?" uhh.. and then she'd suggest something different maybe...I dunno.
But I do agree that they don't really know the full extent of things a lot of the time, and sometimes they brush things off because they don't know.

I don't know you well enough to discern how hateable you are. Maybe you're paranoid? What's your diagnosis? Don't worry, you are anonymous. • I have no friends and can't work because people won't work with me.

I told my shrink there must be something wrong with me that I don't get, but she just says, I'm focusing on the negative.

But my point is there are people in the world that nobody likes, so how do those people recognise that.

Why won't people work with you? Is that a consistent and reoccurring problem? I'm still curious as to your diagnosis.

Shrinks tell you that to make you feel better, it's their job. Even if you're horribly ugly and deformed they will tell you you're okay.
