I believe Target has its employees say happy holidays instead of merry Christmas, and Starbucks has red cups instead of Christmas cups. Isn't this too extreme and against mainstream culture?
There's nothing more annoying than all this politically correct retardation that is plaguing the nation nowadays. Hey, lets destroy our culture and let the corporations rule everything! That way nobody has to get offended..ever again..

I am a Jew and even i have grown to enjoy some of the christmas stuff. Christmas stuff is festive and has lots of neat scents, flavors, colors, etc. I thinn its stupid to try to make generic "Holiday" stuff to appeal to not offend people. Just let everyone have all their own stuff like they wants. Christians should have christmas stuff, Jews should have Chanukah stuff, and blacks should have nothing because theyre too broke and unimportant to matter anyways

jews have much lower birthrates that most other groups, especially in the Arab world. I doubt the "chosen people" will be living artifacts for long if this continues. The Starbucks controversy is manufactured as the cups never said Christmas. They had things in the past like snow men and falling snow and things like that.
But when a company says happy holidays rather than merry Christmas, they aren't refusing to acknowledge Christmas, they are simply acknowledging that other holidays are celebrated at this time of year. Using a term that covers them all just makes good sense. Staying merry Christmas to everyone that walks through the door doesn't make any more sense than saying Happy Chanukah to everyone that walks through the door.

I've worked at both and neither ever told is not to say Merry Christmas. Most people in retail are careful not to offend people cause we don't need the dudes stress.

It is not their job to support Christmas. It is a religious holiday, as is Hanukkah, and I'm sure there are other holidays out there that I don't know of, so they should not be forced to choose just one holiday or religion to support.
I don't see anything wrong with either of their actions personally. Red cups/saying "Happy Holidays" is really nothing to be upset about. Now they're complaining of Reeses Trees not being shaped like trees. Grow up, people. There's bigger and more important stuff to worry over.
