Is it normal that a woman at my job hates me for being "well preserved"?
She works in the beauty department, so I asked for her help on what the best eye serum for a 30 year old is. She showed me one, explained it, and I politely thanked her and bought it. She stopped talking to me the next day and just rolls her eyes when she sees me. I laughed it off and moved on after my manager told me she hates me because I'm the same age as her, but "well preserved", while she has early wrinkles.
Well over a week later, something happened with her department where they scheduled too many beauty consultants, so they had her work in Market(my department) for a day. My boss told her to listen to everything I say. I politely asked her to backstock the items in the backroom (which is the easiest thing a person could do there) and she wouldnt do it. Instead, she left for a few hours and came back. I told my boss and she didn't start backstocking until my boss told her to get over her grudge and start acting her age.
Is any of this normal?
