Is it normal that all female singers sound the same?

Obviously not all, but most female singers all seem to sound similar when singing for some reason, which is something I've always wondered. Male singers tend to be more " distinct " from one another, generally speaking.

    Msybe the white girls. I think there is more of a vocal range and creativity for black women.

    You're either not listening properly or you're only listening to pop music where there are styles which come and go, including in voices.
