Is it normal that animal crossing has replaced most of my date nights?

My boyfriend and I live together and once a week we'd go to a restaurant, eat, and enjoy each other's company. We'd split the bill 50/50.

Due to Coronavirus, all the restaurants are now take out only. Combine that with my boyfriend's workplace being defunct now due to corona, we found a cheap solution. We just play Animal Crossing together on our Switches. We have a lot of fun in it and it's kept us happy.

Is it normal? My coworker thinks it's weird.
