The latest figures show that Elon Musk is worth 306.5 billion dollars. I find that figure to be WAY higher than it should be.
Musk has also made thousands of millionaires off of his stock and people he pays to do work. He employs alot of ppl. Like it or not you could argue Musk does more for humanity than you could in 400 million years.
Its one of those "if its not broke dont fix it" cases. If you look at countries where they "spread the wealth out" they just tax people more. But the middle class is also taxed at ridiculous rates compared to the usa. This is because if you tax corporations and billionaires too much theres no incentives for them to produce things in your country. In a day and age where we are competing with china taking their money would just make them leave to some other tax havens.
Its a delicate system. Is it fair? Maybe not. But life isnt fair and this is the best system we have.
Why should you care what amount of wealth anyone has, other than a politician.
His main wealth is his stock holdings.... and those could go up in the future, stay about the same, or go down (and even drop like a rock if his companies have certain issues).
This is the concept that you can become wealthy by creating a successful company.
Also, keep in mind that the stock is only worth what it is because other people think its worth that much. If people change their mind on that... the stock value changes. So its other people that have created his wealth based on what they view his companies value is.
Just remember, that stock wealth tends to have its ups and downs... and those can be extreme at times.
If he is willing to follow the advice of competent wealth advisers.... he would convert a bunch of his stock into other kinds of assets and stocks of other companies in other industries.
He should be worth more tbh. He is responsible for electric cars being real, home electrical storage, government free space travel, undergound people moving in earthquake zones, etc. He's giving it all away anyways and doesn't value luxury stuff. Please let him create and spend more money!
Musk is one of the few people with that much money I somewhat like. The guy isn't perfect, but he at least doesn't pretend to be.

They were never married and they're not dating anymore. She's not a freak, I've met her many times years ago when she did small gigs. She's really unique, a little hyper but completely sweet.
