I've noticed that, generally speaking, female artists/musicians are less likely than male musicians to write their own songs, and most people who write the songs for these female artists are male. How come that is?
Some people have the voice for music, but not the knowledge. There's plenty of men who don't write their own stuff as well.
Not true though maybe among the mainstream artists is is because they have less soul for what they do. They are just marketed to be a certain way and they are given songs which suits that image and caters to the audience they are being marketed towards.
There's loads of female fronted bands in which the woman writes her own songs.
Because men are generally more creative than women are. That's why men dominate all artistic fields.
