I heard the song " Paparazzi " being played on the radio recently. Hearing that song actually made me feel incredibly nostalgic, even though I absolutely hated that shit back then. Strange.
I see people on commenting on music that came out in 2015 like it was 20 years ago. 2000-2010 music does that to me at 25 years old
Maybe you like it more now that you’re listening to it by choice instead of it being forced upon you?
Definitely normal! I've felt the same way about many songs I didn't pay much attention to back in the day, but now they bring back memories like crazy, and almost take me back in time!
I get this nostalgic rush when I hear songs from the late 2000s-early 2010s. I like how upbeat music was then, compared to now.
I get a nostalgic rush for that era too, especially since so much has happened in my life since then and it's so weird to feel temporarily transported back to that time again!
The funny thing was that I absolutely hated that music when it was new, but find that much of it is actually quite a bit better than what is currently out, and now I think some of it is kind of cool.

Maybe so! I think I tend to dislike when things are overplayed or just overdone in general, so might have a different perspective on some of the things I dislike now several years from now.
I am still eternally sick of some of the '90s and early to mid 2000's music I had to hear in the family car on repeat growing up, though! 🤣

Summer of 2009? I remember that one clearly. Everyone was freaking-out over Michael Jackson's death, the recession, and the swine flu. Radio was constantly playing Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas. Yeah, it was a pretty chaotic time tbh. Not as chaotic as now though, but still.
