Is it normal that i am a painter and really dislike a certain colour pigment?

I don't wish to say which one it is precisely but it's a blue pigment. I have always disliked it, as though it's a person who I just don't like and can never like. I even look at the paint tube accusingly, wondering what it thinks it's doing on my desk. I get a bad vibe from it.

  • It's a dark blue with a red tinge that I find jarring.

  • Is it the light shade of blue that's on the background of the posts on this website?

And I thought most artists were liberals. You are just as prejudiced as every other conservative out there. What exactly did that blue pigment do to make you hate it so? Most blue pigments I know are perfectly decent pigments. Oh sure, there is a bad apple in every barrel, but isn't dislike an awfully strong word to use on a blue pigment?

I've never been a big fan of yellow myself, I've seen quite a few awful yellow pigments.

Also I hate permanent green oil paint but that's more because I still have it on my walls and carpet and it took weeks to get it off my hands. (spoiler: it's kinda permanent).

I love blue. I am an artist and I freaking hate orange... unless its halloween.
I dont like to use it I dont like to wear it...if I have to use it I use as little as possible...it is unavoidable sometimes like when I needed to paint koi fish. I dont like to put blue and orange together.
