Is it normal that i apply my self-worth/esteem onto the grades i get?

I'm not beautiful, popular, or a good person so I feel like intelligence is the only thing left (I also really value it in its own right). If I get bad grades it's like it's there in black and white: I'm not good for anything.
Stupidity really frustrates me. I hate not being particularly good at anything (my grades aren't terrible, but average). I don't want to be a hypocrite.

It's normal, but basing your entire self worth on it could be damaging later on at some point? You have to be happy with yourself, if that helps then good, but maybe branch out into other avenues that also bring you self satisfaction :)

Why and how are you not a good person?

Completely normal, the universities you apply for will do the same thing.
