I have a dog and I believe that being a dog owner (or dog parent) is the best role in life to take part in. Well, for me it's the best. Is this normal?
We all have responsibilities that can bring joy and worth to our lives.
I for instance love taking care of my little cousins, and being a role model to them. They trust and love me unconditionally and Vice versa.
They bring a smile to my face :)I don't see a reason why your dog couldn't :P
Dogs are mans' best friend; don't let any one judge you for what you want to be in your path, what you want to become is up to your options, and decisions.
Dogs are NOT "man's best friend." Dogs have no sense of love or loyalty, they act solely on instinct and do whatever is necessary in order to be fed. If a dog happens to have some idiot owner that wants the dog to wag its ass, dance around like an idiot and lick them in face, then that's what the dog does. If dogs had any true sense of loyalty, then they would remain loyal to their original owner and there would be no "rescue" dogs in shelters. Dogs can be passed from one owner to the next and they will be just as loyal to the next owner as they were to the last -- as long as the owner feeds them.
It's normal to feel passionate about caring for a pet.
I certainly don't agree that it's the best role in life for me, and indeed most people, but it may be what brings you the greatest sense of fulfilment so it's understandable you feel that way.
I completely agree. I love my dog more than anything and would do anything for him. He is my child. The love you get from a dog is like no other love. They love with all of their heart and only ask for love, protection, food and water in return. And that's nothing compared to the happiness he brings to my life.
Only if you think being a coprophiliac is the "best role in life." You need to get your nose out of that fuckin' dog's ass and GET A FREAKING LIFE!
I always wanted to have a dog that follows me everywhere! I want it to hang out in my shop and whenever really! Its so nice to see a human and a dog that respects and love eachother! I am however not allowed to have a dog in my shop.. I think thats the only thing that stops me from having one.
I don't want to be a "human child parent". Being a dog parent is the best thing that ever happened to me therefore it's the best role in my eyes. I'm fulfilled being a dog owner and having/adopting a child would not make my life any better/happier than it is.
Yeah. Some of my friends who own dogs are just as annoying as some of my friends who have kids about ermagerd how special ther peeerts.
If that is how you feel then it is normal. Personally, I don't feel the same way, I don't like having a dog as a pet. Too many things to do with it, and I'm lazy. I'm more of a cat person :P
Of course it's normal,I treat my dog like a human bean. but I say it's second the one thing I cannot wait for it would to be having a kid
