Is it normal that i believe that you must be able to hate in order to love?

I just dont believe that we can love everyone, and if we try, then this love is meaningless. If we direct our hatred toward those who truly deserve it, we wont hurt those who we love. Basically I think that in order for us to truly love someone and understand love, appreciate it, we must also learn to hate.

Hate is love but in another way... I know it sounds wired but I honestly thing that Hate is just another way of showing affection

Hate is not the opposite of love. Indifference is.

I think that is an interesting perspective.

I think people are starting to use the word hate to describe anything other than love. This compression of our language really disturbs me with its implications for our future.

To answer your question, though, I tend to think there is love and then there is indifference. I'm indifferent to most things.

    • Im not talking about indifference, Im talking about hatred, with passion. Im indifferent about many things, but just like love, hate must also be earned, not easy to earn it.

love is not conditional. it goes through. it loves in spit of . until you know and felt and experienced that kind of love you will never truly love a soul.

I actually have a similar creed, and it correlates well with yours. I believe that in order for an individual to be truly happy there must be a bit of misery. For example, imagine if all the bad was taken out of the world, humans wouldn't know what to do because you need the yin with the yang. On the topic of what you posted, I believe that it is more than love we feel but happiness and in every light of bliss there must be a shadow of agony.
