Is it normal that i believe three children should be the absolute limit?

Bear with me on this: If there's a 3-Child Limit, not only is it reasonable (no one needs more than 3 kids at MOST), but it's also more realistic than let's say a 1-Child or 2-Child policy. I think people would have an easier time getting behind this than the other ideas. The problem is getting it enforced globally along with free birth control and free sterilization.

    I'd rather most people have either 0 or 2. A kid growing up without siblings seems like they're missing out on a big part of childhood.

    It's impossible to enforce ethically, though. There are a lot of people, men and women, who feel that they absolutely must have a baby otherwise they fail as humans. Forcibly limiting the amount of children someone can have just leads to a lot more dead babies.

    Hahaha. You again? And I'm pretty sure people don't "need" children, they have them cause they want to... Natural instincts you know... Good luck trying to change that...

      So, every child is wanted, and everyone has the means to raise them? I'm sorry, but this is a rather... naive view of things.

        I never said all... I was speaking generally, like the OP was... Sure it would be great to limit people who can't afford/don't want children but the way they've described it also includes those who do want them. I just meant that no one "needs" children... unless they meant the human race in general...

    3 is at least 1 too many.
    1 child halves the population; a really intelligent thing to do.
    2 children keeps the population at the level it is currently; still too many for this planet to sustain indefinitely.
    3 children increases the population; way too many for this planet to sustain indefinitely.
    Anybody who has more than 1 child is totally irresponsible, and selfish, in these times.

        Two different women. I guess I should have clarified that. But 2 kids w/ 2 women, still does not add to the population.
        On this one, at least, I definitely practiced what I preach.

    What about people who want to adopt? Can they adopt over three children? And if they do, could/would they face harassment if people didn't know and thought that these children could be theirs biologically?

    I've always wanted a big family, so obviously I completely disagree. The fewest I could be happy with is at least two of each gender, so at minimum, four, if I'm lucky.

    We should have lots of children, then make them do all the menial jobs. Children contribute NOTHING to society anyway. They're all take take take with those fat, podgy, grabby fingers. Pulling their little sad faces so they get what they want. It's time they earned their keep. Who wouldn't like the novelty of a child sweeping your chimney? Or some little ragga-muffin polishing your shoes at the station for a shiny new penny? It's the fairest way to dish out the work. Initially my plan was to put the old people to work, but not everybody makes old age do they? EVERYBODY gets to be a child. Doesn't it make sense really?
