Is it normal that i believe tomboys are more likely to come out lesbians?

Think about it for a moment: if a female is more masculine (A Tomboy IOWs), then wouldn't it make sense for the liklihood of her falling for the same gender increase? I just think that's the case. When you think of it, feminine men are more likely to be gay so it actually makes sense.

Even though it's a stereotype, it wouldn't shock me to find that there was some sort of relationship between a person's sexual preferences and the way they perform gender identity. To me, that makes logical sense.

Agreed, because of social bias and gender stereotypes taught to us as children.
What we perceive ourselves to be and why is directly affected by the roles and stereotypes we were assigned and taught about.
So yes, a girl who has been shown straight women being 'girly' and gay women being 'tomboys' is more likely to choose a tomboy persona when figuring herself out, or, likewise (and controversially) choose to be more openminded about her sexuality after living with a tomboy persona.

But if everyone were raised equally, with no bias, no stereotypical roles portrayed etc, then genetically, naturally, this would no longer be the case. Since there's no real connection between plaid and lesbianism! xD

Or, Transgendered. It's plausible. Someone should try to run a study on this.

Not necessarily. My niece was always a pretty-girl, makeuppy, clothes shopping, boy-getter..Now? Lesbian. Surprised us all, mostly b/c she did date guys (a lot) and was in a relationship with a guy for about a year. I don't buy the tomboy-lesbian connection..But, hey, to each his own.

It depends. Some could be lesbians or some girls could become transgender.

Um, yeah you really think this might be the case. I think it's pretty obvious that a tomboy is more likely to come out as a lesbian. Not that all tomboys are lesbians, just that a lot more of them are compared to women who were never tomboys.

It depends the way you look at it. most lesbians i know are tomboys because they are gay not because they was tomboys first. Tomboys to me means girls who enjoy boy things like cars and don't care to get dirty or their hair wet. But i do think that would be a really cool study plus i never thought of it like that
