I can draw horses and cars almost photorealistically, but when it comes to humans they look like amorphous blobs
Well this happens to me too & the main reason is the details human beings need more detailing then cars.. draw anime sketches its a bit easier as it doesnt requires very much details

Me too. I can draw realistic inanimate objects and animals but I suck at drawing people.
Your mind is forcing your hand to to channel Salvador Dali or Picasso. That's all. Maybe you ought to try drawing humans like a caricature?

Try to draw human anime characters, it could help you a lot.
humans just tend to be one of the hardest, if not the hardest things to draw

i can draw people but not cars or horses (well, other than really basic/cartoony ones). anyway, it just takes practice. you must be pretty interested in cars and horses?
