Is it normal that i can only get a song out of my head if i know the end of it?

When I get a song in my head it can only leave if the song ends in my head or else it goes on a loop and never completes itself. I first found this with an S club 7 song that I could only remember the chorus of so the chorus kept looping so I had to listen to the song to know the end and then it was out of my head just like that. Is this normal or am I just too obsessed with closure?

    Lmao The same thing happens to all of us when the song either loops on and on or it ends to go to the next song that we are thinking of Bruh

    Yeah, it is called an 'ear-worm.' When then go on for me, I try first singing or humming another song.

    If that doesn't work, here is another sure-fire remedy but it is a little painful:

    When it comes on, I smack myself in the face in a hard manner. Then, when it comes back, I do it again. Whack. Whack! Double-Whack!!

    Eventually, it stops. What a fucking relief. It does work. And when it comes back, do it again. Wow! Relief.

    You should send me some money because this works. Fucking amazing. But . . ..

    I found that this is just the mechanism of my brain and mind. It just likes to churn out shit like this. You gotta keep doing it.

    For some deep-down reason, your brain functions like this. It will continue to do whacked-out shit such as this.

    i keep getting melodies stuck in my head and i can't figure out what game they're from but they just kinda stick until i do

    I've heard about this before.
    I might be even worse. When I have a song stuck in my had I have to look up and memorize the whole thing so I can actually complete it in my head.
    Now I got hundrets of song lyrics memorized. What a waste of brain space.
