Is it normal that i can't help but look at people?

I find myself staring at EVERYONE that passes by for no reason, either at their eyes or their body if they're a girl, even if they aren't attractive. Sometimes it's repetitive, like at the gym where there's a lot of slight interaction. Am I the only one?

    My second wife and I would go to malls and sit and watch people. We'd make up little scenarios of what we thought their lives were like.
    For instance a rather boring looking, very straight guy in brown loafers could be a corporate tax lawyer and his very tan wife was probably banging her tennis instructor.
    We could spend the better part of a rainy day doing this.

    People watching is very normal. It is amazing what you will see if you watch people closely.
