Is it normal that i don't feel comfortable with the cat in the same room?

We've been in a relationship for a while and he got a gray kitten recently. But whenever he tries to touch me with the cat in the same room I get really uncomfortable, like it feels wrong to me and it's a total turn off. I already told him the cat should stay outside the room if we're going to have sex and he agreed for my sake. Although he only has a problem with the cat if it jumps onto the bed. Requiring the cat to go out every time makes me feel kind of selfish, especially since it's still unfamiliar with the territory. Am I just strange or is it normal to not want your pets in the same room during sex?

  • I could understand not wanting the cat in the room, it could jump on the bed while you're going at it and I'd feel uncomfortable, knowing it was watching.

I'm sure the cat won't mind being put outside the room, it's young. I have 2 kittens myself, so I know that they won't mind being moved from a room.

I will note I don't move them because I'm having sex, because of workmen/builders etc.
