Is it normal that i don't really care that old people ( 70+) are dying from corona?

Well, the thing is, I don't really care about old people dying from the coronavirus. They're going to die in a few years anyways.

I wish we had better protected our elderly and stayed open. It would have been much cheaper that way.

It’s pretty normal if they are not related to you...

My grandpa died of it. Sucks, but he was already on deaths doorstep so not that shocking.

Covid isnt that deadly. The only thing giving for it is that it spreads fast. Which is why we need to ONLY quarantine the at risk. Not every god damn person! That only prolongs the suffering.

but you cant say that its descrimitory. Consindering I would fall into the "At Risk" group being I have a family of damn asthmatics and gotten nearly every respitory infection known to man already and usually was just given antibiotics. I not sure what all the fuss is really about.

If all of the old people die, then there won't be anyone around left to give you your participation trophy. And you will have to move out of the basement and actually get a job. Oh the humanity of it.

That’s a cruel thing to say.

Me neither, what I do care about is the complete destruction of the economy and young peoples’ mental health. And I care about kids missing out on vital education time and small businesses not surviving. All to protect the least productive and most vulnerable members of society.

Even a healthy 70 year old has a 95% chance of not even needing to be hospitalised, the people dying from this are literally already terminal. It’s time to end all these restrictions that never should have happened in the first place.

Most 90 year olds are having asymptomatic cases too. Your risk of dying is 5% even among the oldest group of people. Also, very sick old people don't get life saving medical care for regular pneumonia in normal times. All the 80 something year old alcoholics at the local dive bar got it. Nobody died.

"Old people who are going to die anyway" is misleading becuase people think it means all old people are going to die anyway. You can find statistics on how likely you are to die by age, life insurance companies use data like this. Around age 80 your odds of dying from covid and dying in the next year of any cause are about the same. By age 90 you're 3X more likely to die in the next year than die from covid according to the publically posted data. The odds of dying within 1 year by age seem to kind of parallel the covid death rate... hmmm...

For some reason, overwhelming amounts of evidence that Covid is significantly less dangerous than they made it out to be and lockdowns aren't very effective in controlling the spread anyway are being ignored, and lockdowns are continuing with absolutely no goal in sight "just in case." Almost like there's another agenda here...

What agenda are they serving? To cripple the economy? Since if they do that guess who is eventually going to be losing money? Are the rich fuckers in office!

No, billionaires made a trillion dollars this year. The only people losing money were already poor to begin with.

The goal is restructuring of the world economy to fit the financial masters who already enslaved the entire world decades ago. You're as free as a tiger in the zoo. Only noticing the cage when it gets too small to be comortable, and by then its too late. These people are in it for the long game. They have decades of this stuff left to go to establish neo-serfdom.

So, are you going to expect people to care about you when you are 70, or older?

Why should they care about you at your current age?

Or, are you so self centered that you don't care if anyone ever cares about you?

If you want other people to care about you - at any age; then I suggest that you start caring about what happens to other people, and at all ages.

I want you to kill yourself at the age of 70. Your life at that age isn't worth much anyway.

  • The economy is more important than those meaningless lives. Just wear a mask and get back to work.

I'ma take a different take on this one, Old peoples lives aren't meaningless, just the lockdowns and curfews aren't saving any lives.

A lot of old people are sick and disabled, which could make them meaningless.

Lots of people are sick and disabled. Old sick disabled people are more likely to survive covid than not, based off my own personal experience. I have an old friend who works in a nursing home. She said they've had bedridden 90+ year olds who tested positive for covid, the only one with symptoms was just really tired. We shut down the world for a "virus" that makes 93 year olds sleepy.
