Is it normal that i dont like love songs

I am an omnivore when it comes to music. My preference varies according to what I feel like at that particular time. I love to indulge in music from soft rock to rock to jazz to folk to alternative, metal, heavy metal, thrash, new wave, electronic, to house and so on.. But I've never been able to really get my self into the love songs.. Especially the really slow ones that everyone loves to slow dance to.. I've been criticised a lot by friends and others alike for that.. Been joked about for not being able to indulge in that form of music. I know it's all good and the lyrics are nice too. But simply can't get myself into it. Please let me know if this is really OK or do I have some serious flaw in my taste.

    I used to say that when I was younger, but, like my english teacher once pointed out, love songs are everywhere. Almost every artist has one. They don't have to be slow, they don't even need to be positive. But, I don't believe there's many people out there who don't like any of them. I'm not saying there's some 'flaw' in your music taste (I actually find it kinda cool when people like that many different genres of music), I'm just saying most people like at least one love song.

    I hate love songs as well, mate. Annoying and unoriginal, we've heard it all before. I also hate christian music because it's literally the same lyrics. It's the same damn thing only the guy who wrote it goes to church once in a while. Also the music sucks even worse.

    You don't like any classic 80s songs? Most of those are about love in some way, but they make it sound cool.
