Is it normal that i enjoy books for teens more than i enjoyed books made for adults?

I'm almost 27. Is it normal to like teen horror more than adult horror? Does it make me incapable of understanding and appreciating ideas that I SHOULD be able to acknowledge and find intriguing at my age? Does it mean I'm less smart than the average person?
