After discovering Dionysus and doing a ton of research on him, I couldn't resist setting up a yaoi rp about him. However, I'm starting to depart from the 'sexiest god I've ever seen' type feelings and feel like honoring him instead, but I can't imagine worshiping him with the knowledge that I also wrote some gay porn about him. :[

I have a feeling I'll be flamed both for this being about religion and for it being weird, but please just tell me if it's normal to feel bad about it and how you'd feel in a similar situation.

    I gotta say, Dionysus seems an odd choice for both those things. Apollo would work better.

      Haha, the thing that caught my eye was how beautiful he is. Rather than your typical muscular, manly fantasy, he looks calm and sensual and a little feminine. I thought that was perfect for a yaoi.
      But I love what he's about, too. A god of wine and theatre and free spirits, what's not to like? :D Apollo is cool too, though.

          There was a point where he was an older, bearded man, but eventually he started being depicted as a beautiful young man and it apparently stuck.
