Is it normal that i feel like a failure for not being able to find a job?

Hey, I've been 18 for a month. Unfortunately I've been applying for jobs since I was 16 and, I want any job possible but, no one seems to do anything other than interview me.

Now my mom wants me to get a job and, pay rent yet, I've sent many applications since I've been 16 and, I haven't been able to find one.

What is a teenager? I mean if you are eighteen you should be able to talk to 15+ without people making a fuzz about it. America is weird with that.
If the person was like ... 13? No that´s a tad odd.

This said, you should be able to NORMALLY talk to anyone, regardless of their age as long as you only want to talk to people without alternate motives.

You will find one, you are still very young and the world is wide open to you. Do some exploring about what interests you and pursue it. Also, it helps a lot to know people. Ask your parents if they know anyone who might be able to give you an opportunity where they work. Once you get a job it becomes much easier to find another one after that.

My boyfriend feels the same way, and it is completely normal. Don't be discouraged, I believe you will find a job, just keep trying my friend.

Try and stay positive and don't feel like a failure: you don't control the economy, do you? You're one of millions all over the world and good on you for being so persistent.

Can you get some help with wording your applications and where you're applying?

I'm sure your mum does want you to be working and paying your way, but if she's hassling you about it when you're trying so hard she's being unfair to you. Throw it back at her and ask her what she thinks you should do to find a job.

How can you not get a job?
Go to indeed.com put in your ZIP and apply to literally everything. Even if you're retarded it's not that hard to find work.

Learn about assessment test, and how to pass an interview with body language. Also, learn how to answer illegal interview questions as well as normal questions.

I was in the same situation a while ago. First, I couldn't get an interview for most jobs because I didn't know how to pass the assessment test. Once I got that down I started getting interviews for almost every job I applied for; however, I kept failing interviews due to being so nervous and inexperienced. Eventually, I realized body language is about 80% of what's needed and answering questions confidently carries the rest. So just do your research and watch videos, you'll get a job soon.

You probably need qualifications with some extra schooling.
You know at 18 you can even study to be an astronaut, you are SO young that you could learn about absolutely anything at all.
Maybe do a course in psychology and focus on family relationships ;)
If I were 18 again I'd be studying cosmology that seems to be a big things these days. IT gets a bit boring after doing it for decades!
