Is it normal that i feel physically sick after i eat breakfast?

I like to be healthy, and I know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so I always force myself to eat a decently sized breakfast.

Unfortunately, this is the hardest part of staying healthy to me, because I feel physically sick to my stomach after eating breakfast. I just have no appetite at all, so I'm basically force-feeding myself.

Is this normal? Is there a way to combat this feeling or adjust for it somehow?

Don't force yourself to eat. Eat a little bit here and there!

I can't stomach food too early in the morning. My boyfriend can't until almost afternoon. We both kind of have to have been awake a few hours to feel like we can eat.

Unfortunately, as I have to leave for work at 7, I can't. I go with the smoothie option, like you mentioned you sometimes do. It literally takes under a minute in the morning, because I pre prepare it the night before. You could so the same. If they're freezer ingredients, you could make a whole week or more in one go, then bung it un the blender in the morning. I've been having banana, honey, cacao and PB Fit smoothies every workday for over a month now, and it's great.

Definitely will do. I usually use fresh fruit but I probably could switch to freezer fruit and make smoothies faster.

I use fresh bananas. I only make the night before, but they can be frozen. Most fresh fruit will, if that's a priority for you.

Is it because of that full feeling?

      Yeah I'd say so. It's a full-ish, not-hungry feeling.

I tend to feel sick in the morning when I eat especially when I'm in a rush and end up eating fast. Maybe you have a sensitive stomach or you aren't used to eat in the morning. You could also try some pills to boost your appetite, from a doctor of course.

I don't feel hungry when I just get up...but do later on. Maybe get up a little earlier and do other stuff, get dressed, make your bed etc and then have breakfast a little later. You might feel more like it then. You don't have to eat a lot just for the sake of it. Good luck

What's in this "decently sized breakfast"?

Depends, but generally one of a few things:

      > Oatmeal and an egg or two - scrambled if time allows, hardboiled the night before if not.

      > Greek yogurt and protein loaded granola.

      > A smoothie or protein shake. This is the one my appetite can handle most easily, but it takes the most time.

They all seem healthy and not huge meals.

Yeah, that's why I'm concerned that I don't have the appetite to eat them. :/

Are you a smoker? I always had trouble eating breakfast when I smoked. I mean tobacco, by the way

No, never smoked once in my life, just not interested. One of my friends just suggested not eating after 10:00PM (22:00) which is good advice, but I don't really think I eat much after dinner at around 7:30PM, if at all. So it's still kind of a mystery to me why I don't have an appetite in the morning.
