Is it normal that i feel some pain while i lose weight?

Whenever I'm trying to lose some weight, I notice that there is a point where I start to feel some pain. I'm not referring to the pain you feel while you are working out. I'm also not referring to the pain that comes with delayed onset muscle soreness. I'm referring to a kind of pain that I feel out of the blue. I could be at home relaxing on my bed, but then I will just roll over to my side and feel some pain on my rib or something. It's nothing excruiciating, but it is random. I am aware that my calves are sore because I have been jogging a lot lately, but I even feel sore in areas that don't normally feel sore from jogging. This means that I even feel some mild pain all over my body and bones. Maybe this means that my body is shrinking in size, which would cause my skin to feel tighter. If my skin is actually getting tighter due to a reduced amount of fat, then it would make sense for me to feel some pain as my skin wraps itself around my muscles and bones. If it helps at all, I have lost 12 pounds so far (I went from 165 to 153).

I do drink a lot of water though. I drink so much water that I get sick of it, and then I just drink more water. This is why I think it would be strange for the cause to be dehydration, but I guess anything is possible. I am jogging quite a bit, but I'm not jogging ten miles a day and I'm not losing any toenails.
