Is it normal that i find this error in speech annoying?

It's so annoying when someone keeps dropping their s's at the end of plural or possessive words.

Examples: "I petted John dog." Instead of, "I petted John's dog."

"She made cupcake." Rather than, "She made cupcakes."

Extra error- "both foot".

These types of mistakes make the person who's talking sound stupid and uneducated, imo, even if they're not. Yeah, I know it's petty, but I was just wondering if this grates on anybody else.

    Here are a few more examples of stupid things people say. Some people think that the past tense of run is "runned". To some, Santa comes down the "chimley". At Halloween, kids carve "punkins". As men get older, they should be checked for "prostrate" cancer and "all timers" disease. Why do some ethnic groups call the police, the "PO lice"? Or, the seventh month is "JU ly rather than July Instead of saying, "I got out of my car.", they'll say, "I got out my car." It eliminates the prepositional phrase though. Almost every kid knows what "LOL", LMAO", "BRB", and "WTF" stands for. But do they know what the "D.C." stands for in Washington, D.C.?

    I've heard it, too. Worse for me is when people cut words out. One example (of very many) was my ex-wife's family. They'd say things like "The car needs washed".. And I'd always say to my then-gf and later wife "TO BE..TO BE washed!". Same with their dog, Charlie "Charlie needs fed"..Any my mind would fly with TO BE FED!!

    I've never heard anyone do this apart from Chinese people with bad English, in which case it's understandable

    I find it annoying when people say seen instead of saw. Also, when they don't know the difference between there, they're, and their. Although with that, sometimes it's just corrective text or typing to fast that causes that.

      My mother, and other black relatives do this. It's also kind of annoying how she keeps saying "sometime" instead of sometimes.

    I've never heard anyone say this but I have heard people on usa tv say "My baby momma" or "My baby daddy" which sounds odd to me

        Like ax instead of ask. They actually want to add it to the dictionary. Just like how they added situational irony to the definition of irony. That one drives me crazy. Curse you Alanis Morissette you wrote a song that taught everyone the wrong definition of irony.
