Is it normal that i get cold-like symptoms when entering the pill free week?

I've been on a birth control pill for about 7 years, and in the past year I've started noticing that I often end up with cold-like symptoms when I enter the pill free week. I took the last pill two days ago and I already have a stuffy nose and headache, and perhaps even a light fever (I have no thermometer to check for sure). The bleeding will start tomorrow, and the cold symptoms usually go away a couple of days after that. I can't recall it being a problem throughout all years I've taken the pill, but rather a recent issue.

So, is it normal?

It is if you caught a cold.

Probably normal. Imagine going without coffee for a week after drinking it for 7 years. The pill messes with your estrogen, and your body has adapted to it. It's not natural, but you should get better once you get back on.

Oh look. You either don't know what you're talking about, or you don't know how to read. Probably both.

You have any advice for OP, or some sort of point?

No I don't, which is why I didn't comment on it. But I know enough to point out that your advice is ill informed at best, which is why I responded to your comment.

Pointing out bad/wrong advice IS a helpful thing for the OP. Certainly more so than trying to look intelligent and failing.

You're a 32 year old woman. You really can't give OP any advice on birth control? Enlighten us.

Not what I said. But don't let that stop you.

Not to mention your ignorance in thinking that just because someone is female, they must have taken the pill or be knowlegeable about it.

Please do enlighten us on how birth control works in your head. Because I'm pretty sure OP and I know better through our own experiences.

Oh. You don't have anything to say for yourself?
