Is it normal that i get up a lot during the night to check if the door's locked

Ever since I read the Jeff the Killer page on the CreepyPasta wiki, I get up around five times to check if my bedroom door is locked before I fall asleep. Is this normal? BY the way I read the page last year.

    Not so fast. Trust your instincts. If you live alone, call a locksmith/security company to burglarproof your home. If you still don't feel safe, get a dog or move. The page may have awakened some justifiable concerns about your neighborhood.

    Put a white paper near your bed, after you have locked the door write on it "the door is locked". Next time u wake up just check the paper.

    I used to get up at night to check if my room is okay since I read Jeff's story especially ater I saw that freaky picture.
