Is it normal that i give people the army salute when people say hello?

I know I've got loads of questions left that I've yet to ask but this is one of them that stuck to me and had to spill it out, not that really matters but I'm going to be on topic, usually when people greet them I tell them hello and then give them the army salute.

Is this a normal thing?

That sounds kinda weird. It could be okay if it's a casual thing, but if you get all still, and stand at attention when you do it it will look kinda cray cray.

Seems weeby if you ask me. Saluting is for people in authority, doing it to say hello for regular people is like doing a court bow for a cashier at a star bucks.

I do pretty much the same thing. Specifically whenever I'm saying goodbye to my close friends, I'll do a casual salute

  • I wish I could find the clip, there's a scene from Ninja Warrior where an eagle scout (adult boy scout) performs and the host, who seemed to not like him from his last attempt, tried to give him the scout salute but it ended up being the, uh, two in the pink one in the stink salute

But yeah, sounds cool, make it your thing. Being unique and defined is awesome

100% wouldn't be that because people would think I'm anti-semeitic.

And I meant the typical army salute which you greet the general with.
