Is it normal that i hate how easy technology and science make things?

I hate how cars replaced trains,
how MP3 players replaced CD's,
how autotune and machines create modern music,
how stupid the new fuel efficient and aerodynamic vehicles look,
how everything you want to know is a fingers reach away on Bing or Google,
how video games and TV replaced books,
and how important post-secondary education has become. Post-secondary education used to be an achievement not an expectation. Having good music was more of an achievement, and you never bored of it. I hate how talent will now be left in the shadow of machines and tech. Cars used to look nice. Reading to learn left you more satisfied, as you spent more time learning.

Fair points.

When i was younger, i probably had anywhere from 20 phone numbers or better memorized for all my different friends. Now, i probably couldn't even tell you 3...

Planes replaced trains, not cars. You hate cars, but then you hate new cars which means you must like the old cars that you hate. Vinyl Records are better than CDs. CD and MP3 are both digital and have basically the same sound quality. Nobody uses Bing. The only points I can agree with are auto tune sucks and so do video games. Can't fully agree on tv. 90% agree but tv has some good stuff.

      I just find it incredible that you don't like them at all. I mean, video games are so diverse. There's SO many different types of experiences and different systems to play on. Maybe you just haven't given them a proper chance or found the right game yet? Or maybe something happened to turn you off of video games?
      
      It also seems strange that you would like movies and tv shows but not any types of video games. Some video games are actually modeled after movies or tv shows even. It's like watching one but you can actually control things in it...

        Honestly, I have poor hand-eye coordination and suck at playing video games. If I were any good at them, I would probably enjoy them.

        I suppose I could understand that. There's a plethora of games that you could pick up that don't require tons of hand-eye coordination though. You just have to find the right ones.

While technology does have some flood aspects, it seems to decaying society. Everything is too easy and people are becoming lazy and self-absorbed.

Hmm. I think blaming the technology itself is looking in the wrong place. Consumer technology as we know it is just the logical consequence of capitalism as we know it, and unless we want to ditch it we're going to keep going down the road we're on.

I don't think more technology is worse than less tech. It makes some rudimentary things easier which allows us to focus on more complex things. Things that were once impossible are now only somewhat difficult. It helps us to further our understanding of our world and ourselves.

  I keep my "brain" infused with alcohol to avoid it being harvested. Alcohol helps dry out the gooeyness also, making it far less appealing.
