Is it normal that i hate pointless censorship in video games?

The reason why I hate pointless censorship is because it looks stupid and most of the games look stupid when its censored.

An excellent example would be how in Streets Of Rage 3 ( aka Bare Knuckle ), especially how they change the female enemies because of censorship its just ridiculous.

Another one is Final Fight, where they replaced Roxy and Poison with Billy and Sid.

Which is partially why I play the Japanese version of those games. ( Because at least they don't have any stupid censorships ).

I'm sure theres more pointless censorship out there.

Is it any normal to hate it still?

    I'm not fine with most forms of censorship. To me to censor a game is to censor a book, it's an entertainment medium all the same.

    On the otherhand I can understand regional censorship or changes to better fit the larger audience in a particular place as long as it doesnt actively change the plot of the label.

    I suppose beating up women is looked down upon in America, though running pedestrians over with your car or "normalizing violence" is also looked down upon. Luckily the religious right arent on the boycott bandwagon nor have the power to do much for censorship. Unfortunity that power was shifted to the left with all of its colorful diversity being forced down our throats, plaguing games right now.

    I hate the pointless censoring in JAV, which as I understand it only exists because of some outdated law over 100 years ago.
