Is it normal that i hate when the toilet paper roll is on backwards?

If I go into a bathroom at someone's house and the roll is backwards, I take the roll off and reverse it. I don't think people know that it's me reversing it, but I always think that they are grateful because it makes so much more sense to pull the toilet paper off the top of the roll vs the bttom of the roll.

My underlying hope is that once they experience the RIGHT WAY to use toilet paper, they will never go back. I think I'm changing people's lives one roll at a time.

I know I'm an extreme because I am weird and change other people's rolls, but is this a pet peeve for other people?

When I googled it, I got this image, so I feel like I'm in the right.

    Life is like toilet paper. You are either on a roll, or you are taking shit from some asshole.

    Lol I'm the exact same way, right down to changing other people's toilet rolls. It's an odd pet peeve, but I don't think we're alone in this. (It just looks so much neater and works so much better, y'know?)

    That preference is sed all the time in Interpersonal Relationship classes as an example of things couples have to work out. The first thing to realize is tha neither is right. It's personal preference; logic has nothing to do with it. Then you decide between you 2 who is gong to be kind enough to the other on this point to give in and do it the other way. Then you'll get your way on something else. It's called compromise, and you'll never be fit to live with if you don't learn.

    It must be normal because I'm the same and I'm 100% normal ... some of the time.

    There is actually a reason for it: someone (sorry I don't have the reference) did research a while back and the paper is more likely to keep coming off the roll and end up on the floor if it's coming from the bottom of the roll rather than the top and I hate waste, so that's my excuse. I even change the rolls in public toilets if they're the "wrong" way round

    My mom insisted on the backwards way so that's what I grew up with. Some bullshit about you use less TP with it that way? Ooooh maybe save 3¢ a month! Once I moved out I tried the right way and it's sooooo much better. It's easier to find the end and it looks better. When it's on backwards sometimes you have to spin it around a hundred times to find the fucking end piece. Ain't nobody got time for that!
