Is it normal that i have a whole world in my head?

Hi, i'm 21 actually, and for a long time now, i've had this... alternate world in my head.
I mean, i'm not inventing it like i'd be writing a book or something, it's just there and things are happening without me trying to imagine things.
It's a Fantasy-type world, with some dragons and shit, and a flying city, red glowing rocks, and almost always snow, anyway, is it normal that it keeps developping without my willingness to do so?
Not that i'm unhappy about it, it keeps me occupied at almost all times!

I had this problem when I had depression to escape reality. Now that I am all better I still live in this world. Seriously, when I fall asleep, most of my re-memorable dreams are in this world and everything. It is a world where a girl named Winter has every dream come true for her, I am Winter and I get to make all of these wishes, and they all come true, or at least in that world. It's awesome, and you aren't the only one.

I have the song "he's got the whole world in his hands" in my head. Which reminded me of that creepy scene in con air with the little girl.

Damn I haven't seen that but my mother likes to try and sing sometimes. She's awful. She knows she's awful. Well she's sung that song and now I hear it in my head all sorts of bad.

I hope my kids don't say that about me. Although my toddler sometimes covers my mouth when I sing to him.

In the past, our dogs would howl when she sang. Only when she sang. Funny shite. A few hours ago my brother sent us all a reminder of the badness. Such timing. I guess he was lookin through his phone and found 16 seconds o hysterical hell. My mom singing a Pink song. Ha!

I suppose it's somewhat normal. When I go to sleep at night I have a whole other life in my dreams.

    • I have alternate dream lives too. Are you a lucid dreamer? I have recurrent places I go. Keeping a dream journal is a great way to keep in touch with your other lives.
