Is it normal that i have insomnia but only when i'm alone?

So when I'm alone in my bed, I just can't sleep at all. I might get an hour but that's about it. BUT when I'm with my dog or other people, I sleep perfectly fine, great actually. I sleep normally I guess, multiple hours, feel refreshed waking up, etc. Is this normal?

Is it possible you simply find comfort in having someone else to sleep with you?

That's probably just it. I just usually can't sleep but once I'm with someone or like an animal, I sleep perfectly and through the whole night. But yeah it's probably just a comfort thing

so are you scared of the dark, scared of being alone or do you have alot on your mind when you go to bed and go into deep thinking?

I'm not scared of the dark, and I try to clear my mind. It might be fear of being alone but I don't know. Like sometimes I feel like that but other times I'm ok. I seem to always surround myself with people though. So I dunno, maybe :c
