Is it normal that i have legit conversations with my cats?

I'll ask my cats questions and when I look at them, their facial expressions kind of lead my mind to fill in the words for them, and it seems like I end up having a conversation with myself while my cat just stares at me. Is this normal?

I talk to my baby cat all the time. We meow to each other.

I talk to my cat all the time and he frequently interrupts me and tries to talk louder.

I wouldn't say if this is a question to ask if it's normal, rather than if it's real or if you're delusional. I wouldn't call people talking with animals as something accepted as normal, but it doesn't mean it's not true.

Well, the good news is I can RECOGNIZE that it's me putting words in their mouths, but sometimes I feel like I'm putting the RIGHT words there, and they probably DO think what I'm saying for them. . . .it's complicated. I guess, though, I WOULD be certainly and completely delusional if I weren't asking, eh?

yeah that makes sense. Crazy people wouldn't question their own sanity. lol I think what you are describing is telepathy. It's like interpreting. If you interpret languages, you have to use the language to best describe the meaning.
