Just tough it out. You're almost done.

However, since Dubya instituted "No child left behind" I can see how even a moderately intelligent student would be bored by a system geared to the stupidest child in the classroom. Poor you. I imagine one would really have to be incredibly stupid to fail these days.
Tell your babysitter (teacher) you are bored and ask for some extra work and put some effort into that. Get a hobby or take up a sport.
Or go to Walmart and see what your future will look like without your diploma.

I dropped out of high school at the end of year 9. Was (am) reasonably intelligent but school just wasn't for me.

I completed my GED (year 10 equivalent) at TAFE (Australian version of community college I guess) then started trying to work out what to do with my life.
To be honest I got onto drugs & ended up wasting a few years but then I started an apprenticeship, became a qualified tradesman, got clean & am now doing well.
Better than a lot of people who finished school actually...

Just turned 28 & have bought my first house - near new - on a single income, have a nice new car, etc.

The only red flag with you is your admitted lack of motivation

My mom dropped out in her last year and she really regrets it now that she is stuck in warehouse jobs. Why stop when you're almost to the finish line? Sure you can get your GED but I know so many people who have talked for years about getting their ged and still haven't done it. These people are now approaching their 30's. Besides, with that gpa you should qualify for a scholarship to cover most of your tuition should you decide to go to college.

If you think you're bored now, go ahead and drop out.
See if pumping gas or bagging groceries for the rest of your life seems exciting.

Try this: go outside with no money or food, and stay there until you find some work and a place to sleep.

That might help put the value of a diploma in context.

At this point in your life, what would you be doing instead anyways?

At best it seems like some boredom "senioritis." At worst it may be depression. It could be a combo of all 3. You only have a semester left right? You'd regret it later if you dropped out (I know you must be sick of hearing that). I'd talk to your school counselor about how you're feeling. Maybe he/she can offer some support to help you get over that last hump of school and a some counseling if you're depressed and a referral to some help if needed.
