Is it normal that i have over a thousand music tracks on my pc?

I download loads of music on a regular basis. In doing so, I move in a dark grey zone. Actually, I could be sued for that....

    That's kinda like me but on Spotify I have over 2,000 songs downloaded.

    I just checked, and my music folder currently has 9,224 tracks. Most of the 528 albums are by 91 artists and groups, but there are also a few compilations. I've never actually been all that super into music, but I've been around long enough to like quite a few artists.

    I don't rip off musicians by downloading for free, so all of that music has either been ripped from CDs I've bought over the decades or purchased digitally.

    i digitized my cd collection for travel sometime in the early 2000s

    i still have the core collection but have traded collections with others who did similar and have easily 10x my original content

    i did the same with dvds in early 2010s

    but far as music goes i got 5700 or so tracks just on my phone
