Is it normal that i like songs, not artists?

I'll just find a song I like and not be bothered to check out the rest of the artist's stuff, or I'll give it a listen and not like it. So my library is hundreds of different artists with only like, three, songs by each. Is that normal? And how many songs do you think it takes for a person to be able to say they like an artist?

If you are like the people that have only the singles from an album on your iPod.

And I go oh cool you like them too?

click on it and then you only have a single I sort of kind of hate you

I'm sort of the same way now. It's rare that I'll follow an artist for their albums. Though if someone introduces me to an artist, I do check out their other stuff. I usually only like certain songs they have, not all.

I'm the same way... I will usually only like a small amount of songs by any given artist. Usually anywhere from 2 - 6. I have always wondered whether or not it was normal. Glad I'm not the only one.

I have a lot of old CD'S that I can listen to in their entirety. These days not so much. There are a bunch of songs I like but I just don't follow music like I used to. Maybe I'm just stuck in the 90's a bit. I liked things much more back then. Sigh.

I usually listen to a couple of albums and then download whatever songs I like after. On the rare occasion I do like an album, I'll buy the actual album.

I think 3+ songs are enough for me to say I like an artist. Love = at least an entire album. Crazy = all their stuff. If I've just heard one song by an artist then that's what I say.

I'm the same way. iTunes makes it easy because you only have to buy the one song. Rarely do I buy an entire album. If I don't much care for it, I won't buy it.

I think maybe they aren't good artists then that you're listening to. Maybe you need to find so e different types of music to find what you're really into. Could you give some examples of these songs?

If I like one song off an album I will listen to the rest of the album. If I like that album I will listen to other albums from that band... I'd say about one album's worth from any given band.

I'm quite the opposite... If I really like a band, I usually download most of their stuff...

No the opposite would be to love artists and hate their songs.
