Is it normal that i like the feeling of pencil lead against my skin?

So, ever since elementary school, I have had this habit of thinking hard and running my pencil (lead side, and usually only wooden pencils will feel nice to me) along my face, usually along my philtrum or corners of my eyes, and corners of my mouth, or even just between my fingers. I take care not to let the pencil poke my eye or cause pain in any way, but I do this because something about how cold the lead is and how smooth the lead is feels nice to me. Any ideas on why I have this inclination? Any ideas on why I should stop? Is this unhealthy?

I do that too! 8

Fairly normal. I used to twist the back of my hair, when it was longer, around a pen or pencil, making knots and pulling it out, but, the pencil tip circling against the back or side of my head always felt good.. It's relaxing.

I've done the same thing at school when I was around pencils. I've not even thought of it for years since I've not been around pencils! Thanks for the memory!
PS. Graphite on skin is harmless.

Well, it's not normal, but you're not hurting yourself doing it, so I voted normal. Also, pencils don't have lead in them. It's actually a non toxic material called graphite, so you're not really risking your health putting it against your skin.
