Most of the time I play this game on my old laptop that runs on Windows 2000, I just like playing it because there's a bit of strategy.
Yes I know that game is also on 95,98,XP,ME,Vista,7,3.1 and probably other operating systems that I forgot to mention.
Bruh I never knew how to play until recently. I'd just click random shit when I played as a kid. when I realized what the numbers meant my mind was blown and i played for months after that even got a mobile app of it. GG!
You click buttons in a grid. When you do, the buttons disappear and you see what’s underneath. If it’s a mine, you’re dead. If it’s a number, that number tells you how many mines are next to the number. If it’s a blank space or number, it’ll also clear all the blank spaces and numbers that are connected. There can be up to 8 mines surrounding the number. You can flag the buttons you think have a mine underneath. You win when you clear all the buttons that don’t have mines underneath.
I went through this phase once. Minesweeper was my gateway drug. Pretty soon it escalated to Solitaire, then eventually Spider Solitaire. Before I knew it I was grinding up and injecting Mahjong tiles directly into my blood stream.
But yeah it's pretty normal, a lot of people really like Minesweeper. Some people even treat it like a hardcore e-sport. Playing it casually when you're bored is perfectly fine
Oh my god, i love Minesweeper. I play windows 7 version. I think that original minesweeper is like the best game of the previous millenia and windows 7 version is the game of the century unless they come up with something else in the future
