Is it normal that i like to watch movies from the 30s and 40s?

There is something about those really old movies that I find comforting and cozy. I like the way people dressed back then.

The movies that have survived that you can see from those era's were the best of the movies of the eras.

Totally normal to enjoy what were considered the best movies of any era.

The flops, so-so, and average movies of those era's can only be accessed through a few historical film libraries.

This is a big part of why people tend to prefer music from earlier decades as well in my opinion. They're hearing nothing but the hits and all at once, very little of the average and flops. This whereas they have to actively search and search hard for good music now, but it's out there.

Yeah it's normal. I plan to really get into them one day. I have seen 'The Adventures of Robin Hood' though and that was a great film.

    40s were so much better

one thing that drives me nuts though is the obnoxiously overbearin orchestral score in every single fuckin movie from that era
