Jim Browning is a dude who exposes and chases down on scammers, sometimes he gets those scammers arrested. Technically what Jim does is illegal but not illegal when he is using evidence to expose them. ( Types of scammers he mostly exposes are Indian scammers. ), another reason why I like to enjoy watching his videos is because he gives awareness on how the scammers launder the victim's money.

My favorite video was where he got a scammer and his associates arrested, I think there was a documentary about this.

So is that a normal thing or not normal thing?

    I don't recognise that name, but I went through a phase during lockdown where I watched a few YouTube videos of guys trolling (primarily Indian) tech support scammers.

    Mainly it was just about wasting a huge amount of the scammer's time and driving them nuts by not following directions, but some of it got pretty complex.

    The guy I watched most had somehow faked up what was supposed to be his bank's website, so the scammer saw a very enticing balance. A few times he supposedly went out to buy the gift cards the scammer wanted (complete with sound effects provided by some racing game, and a recording of ambient sounds from Walmart or Target or whatever). When he got back to his computer (supposedly), he repeatedly failed to understand the scammer's directions, so when he cashed in the (fake) gift cards, the money (apparently) went into his own account. And all the time he was putting in the gift card codes, he kept wittering on about how he was so confused, but he hoped it would work and the scammer would get his money in just a minute, and blithely ignoring the scammer's shrieks of protest and swearing in Hindi.

    The most amusing ones were where the YouTuber somehow managed to get access to the scammer's computer and deleted many Gigabytes of files, including their scam-target contact list.

    I found it amusing for a while, and I don't have any problems at all when scammers are screwed in one way or another, but it got kind repetitious.

    Perfectly normal, my friend. I have never heard of Mr Browning but I like him because he is providing a good service to mankind.
