Is it normal that i like watching ants working?

I like watching regular black ants working, like when they're gathering food and they build these long lines that go to some place where they're getting food from and I just like watching them carry stuff and I'm even compelled to help them somehow sometimes by giving them something to carry. I feel like I can do this for hours because it's addictive even.

Thank you. I've toyed with the idea of buying one myself.

We have spiders in our kitchen windowsill. They're kind of interesting.

I have a deal with spiders in my house. As long as they stick to areas that I cant reach they dont instantly die. In return they can eat whatever bugs they want that are probably attracted to my room.

Social insects are fascinating, particularly when you consider the minute size of their brains, and how virtually all of their communication is done by scent and touch (ant nests and bee colonies are dark, so obviously visual signals just won't work).

We're beekeepers, and they're fascinating too. Honeybees have brains that are much larger than your average ant's, but it's still only about the size of a sesame seed. Individual bees ain't that bright, but when there are a few thousand of them together in a hive, something called emergent behaviour happens, and the colony as a whole can do some surprisingly intelligent things.

I went on vacation one time and the ants entered a crack in a rear bedroom window and had made a food line to the kitchen 2 rooms away and had the whole pantry covered. It took days to get them out.

Ive done that before as a kid. They broke in through a crack in a window one time and stole some donuts out of my kitchen. I was fascinated by how they figured out the logistics of the whole operation
