Is it normal that i look at random strangers' faces and think this?

I look at random strangers' faces on public transport sometimes and think 'Wow... what a distinctive, interesting face you have'. I hold eye contact for a little longer than is normal and keep glancing back at them to look at their face again. I don't necessarily do it because I am 'attracted' to them; just because I find them interesting to look at.

Does anyone else do this? Has anyone had this done to them and wondered 'wtf'? Is this habit weird and should I try and stop it?

I do the same, I used to draw a lot of faces so I notice a sharp jaw line or perfect aquiline nose or just when someone’s features are in harmony. I don’t hold eye contact though, just sneak glances at them, sometimes I pretend to read the map above their head so my eyes can pass over them again on their way down. Some people are just interesting to look a bit longer at, nothing more.

    • I'm glad not to be alone, in that case. Thanks, Skulls. I don't draw, but I do like looking at art.

I like to hold eye contact with rude or loud prople in public transport just so they get uncomfortable

Rude, loud people don’t get uncomfortable...that’s why they are rude and loud in the first place.

I used to do that but then read something that said you're more likely to get attacked. I try to resist nowadays, though it is really hard. If people are already breaking social norms by being rude or loud, they'd be more likely to break a few more if provoked.
