Is it normal that i love when non-americans reference american comedy movies/tv

This might be weird but I've just always been under the impression that most british and australian people hate american humor, so when I see them actually reference to an american comedy movie/tv show it just makes me really happy to know that at least some do enjoy our humor. IIN?

    I don't think it's so much about 'hating' the humor, but 'getting' it.
    As hard as I try, I just don't have the background to 'get' British or most other culture's humor. In many cases I just don't know the people, the incident or the cultural reference to understand the humor.
    Of course, when it comes to humor involving international laughingstocks such as Dubya, well everybody can laugh at him.
    Reference Bushisms on the web, anytime you need a good laugh, or wish to see how pathetic our past president really was.
