Is it normal that i'm constantly thirsty?

It's really hot in my house. I drank 3 small diet Coca-colas today. I also drank 4 bottles of water and a cup of chocolate milk. I'm on my period as well. Why is my body constantly dry and thirsty? It's only 77 degrees.

Its normal for people to have different thirst rates, we're all ''unique''

what would be concerning about this is if this had just started to happen, if you've been a thirsty ass bitch your whole life then yeah, its very much normal but if youve been experiencing super thirst the pas few months or year or smth, go to a doctor

from what i know this could be, Insuline Resistance (later on even Type 2 Diabetes) or too much salt intake, the more salty shit you eat the more your body wants water

Maybe you could switch the diet cokes for water and some Gatorade?

    • I drank water for the rest of the day. After making the post yesterday, I think I drank 4 more waters after. I'm going nuts

I'm pretty sure water is better for you than Diet Coke, but the truth is I dunno much about diabetes. My mother does have type 2 diabetes though. It scares me and I worry for her. I'm scared of developing it as well although I wonder, because she's the only person in my family who has it which is weird, but probably a good thing.

Have you consulted your doctor about your excessive thirst? Is your nutrition good? Unfortunately people who are diabetic have eat a certain type of more restrictive diet than the average person in order to stay healthy.

Excessive thirst can be a sign of many things. See a doctor. Mine was a sign of diabetes

She just said it COULD be a sign of diabetes or something else. But excessive thirst and frequent urination actually is a very telling symptom of high blood sugar. But there are a lot of things that could cause constant thirst. Also ignoring a problem because you are too scared to find out doesnt make what ever it is caus8ng it go away, the problem will just get worse...

Exactly Zorak. OP it can be multiple things including possible diabetes. Whatever it is, you should find out. It sounds like the idea of having diabetes (if it happens to be that) scares you. It's not a death sentence. I live a very healthy life. Diabetes is about moderation

          • How do you lower your blood sugar? I'm actually on my period, so I'm not sure what's happening.

You see a doctor and they will tell you what to do if you do in fact have to lower your blood sugar. It varies by person.
