Is it normal that i'm obsessed with cutting my nails as short as possible?

I'm a girl and I'm 19 years old, but I think long nails just look gross even when they're painted. Whenever I see my nails have grown that the outer white part is visible I clip it right away. I find it disgusting that people let their nails grow for months. Not only does it look unappealing but it also causes infection.

    It does not causeinfection to grow your fingernails so long as you wash hands properly. I voted that this was not normal only because this can be a minor form of OCD, which not everyone has and therefore makes it abnormal.
