Is it normal that i'm only attracted to men at least 20 years older than me?

I recently turned 18 and I find myself attracted to older men. I've never liked boys my own age. In high school, just the thought of dating a teenage boy grossed me out. I've never dated because I've never been interested in any of my peers, but also because I'm shy. I am really attracted to older men, like 30-years-old plus. In particular, my bible studies teacher who is AT LEAST 20 years older than me and is married with children. I've even been attracted to men in their 50s before. I don't have daddy issues or anything. My dad is wonderful and my parents are still married. Although, when I was a little girl I was terrified of men (I don't know if that has anything to do with it). So, Why am I so turned off by men my own age and find myself attracted to men old enough to be my father?!

    No, that's not normal at all. If you were ever to be in a relationship with a guy that much older than you, there would be a huge power difference due to his age. Relationships should be about equality between people. I think you have some stuff to work out.

    Maybe it is just a personality thing. If you like their personalities and they are good looking guys then age is just a number to you.

    The attraction is normal. But the chances of such a relationship to work out are few because you are too young and the age difference is huge.

    It depends.

    My friend Steve was 30 years old and he dated an 18 year old and they dated for 3 years. Aside from the minor usual inconveniences of not being able to take her to certain places like Bars etc, things were great between the two of them.

    Except ONE thing... He fell in love with her, and wanted to Marry her, and she wanted to break away and experience dating other men. She broke his heart. MOST not all older men are thinking of serious commitment, so be aware of that concept.

    Then there are Men like me,( I'm 33) my age limit is 18 but I prefer to be with someone at least 21 years of age or older. I got over a long term failed relationship and right now I am out to have fun and not looking for a serious commitment. If an 18 year old throws herself at me, hey why not.

    It's completely normal to find older men attractive, but you must be straight forward and about your intentions first. It will spare not only you the unnecessary BS, but it will also spare him the heartache.

    Its the fact maybe. Boys ure age dont have money coming in and. Havin a man 20 yrs older thats more established is way nicer than cheap ass lil boys

    normal...if that's your preference and you are 18 or older, so be it...you can be a happy adult woman with somebody older, younger or the same age as you as long as you are adults capable of making your own decisions and supporting yourselves...what I did note is your attraction to your bible teacher who is married and has kids....girl, stick to single men if you don't want problems of another sort....
