Is it normal that i'm really afraid to fail at doing things i really like?

I'm really affraid to fail when I do things I like, like drawing, eventhough there aren't any people seeing my drawings. I often stop drawing, because I get myself too nervous. Does anyone feel something like this too? And what can I do best to calm down my nerves?

Kill the perfectionist in you. It's a fear that will hold you back otherwise. Realize that your first draft won't be perfect, and it doesn't have to be.

I wasn't reallizing that it was my perfectionism. Your advice means a lot to me, thanks.

I think this overwhelming fear of yours is understandable in that if you didn't like those things so much it really wouldn't matter so much to you.

Never had a problem like this you'll never improve if you don't try.

I know. It's just really hard. Sometimes I and up not practicing for a while because of this and I totally hate the thought of almost not making any progression, not making progression at all or gettibg worse. I hate it. But I'll try to overcome it. Maybe if I get better I will be less affraid to screw up. You encouraged me not to give up. Thanks

Just do what you love and don't worry about anyone else.
